Everything is on its way to somewhere, everything.

Yes, that is a George Malley quote in the title, it just seems appropriate.

I gave my notice yesterday. After almost six years, it is time. I have been holding onto the news since March. It has taken that much time just to prepare for the changes and the education coming my way.

The most articulate metaphor I can use is that I am going back to grad school.

I've joined an enterprise development group on the east coast.

There will be more on this topic, but for now, I wanted to get this out there in the virtual ether so I can work conspicuously on all the things that need to be done over the next 7 weeks.

Wowzer!!
Go and shake you mover!
This is a surprise.
I'm excited for you.
It sounds like you have great plans and excitement in your future.
I hope you keep up your bloggin' from way over there on the east coast.
I know you'll be busy with the changes and settling in and consulting and all. So just drop in on my blog now and then and fill me in on the latest developments.
See you at the coffee shop until you get ready to go.

Just what the heck is an "Enterprise Development Group"? I may have an enterprise I would like help developing.
You have 6 weeks to write a concise, 3 page report explaining what it is, how it works and what your involvement will be as a consultant.
Your pay scale will be dependent upon your ability to convince us that you are ready to leave the coffee shop and slay the business world again.

Page one:
If you make a thin-a-ma-jig, or provide some kind of service, you are an enterprise.

Page two:
If you want to make MORE thin-a-ma-jigs, or provide MORE service, you are developing.

Page three:
If you need assistance, we help you get to where you want to go.

Oh! Er, that'll be $2500, net 30, 18% per annum on all late balances, $40 per month account service fee, and a lien on your capital assets.

Isn't this fun!!!!

Don't forget your expense account for the overseas trips!
So, let me get this straight:
I make a thinga-ma-jig.
I want to make more of them.
I go to "Enterprise Development Group" and ask for help.
They consult with you and you tell them that I could sell more of them if I sold them to the natives of Papua New Guinea because the are a developing country and need thinga-ma-jigs real bad.
So they find a buyer for my jigs, in Malaysia, that supplies the natives of PNG and everybody is happier than a pig in a jig.
???
How'd I do in my first
enterprise development lesson?
